The Children's House Program (2 1/2 - 6 year old)
(Half-day or All-Day program)
When you enter a children's house classroom at Hudson Montessori School, you will hear the sounds of learning and sense an atmosphere of warmth and caring. Our spacious classrooms offer an attractive and lively environment for the young child. They contain inviting and colorful manipulative materials to assist the child in the acquisition of reading, writing and number concepts. Physical geography, science and nature, the study of different cultures, Spanish language, art and music and movement classes are also an integral part of the child's early school experience.
The non-competitive nature of the classroom environment encourages children to work together, as well as independently. Children are also presented with activities to facilitate successful social and life skills.
There are many who hold, as I do, that the most important period of life is not
the age of university studies but the first one, the period from birth to age six.
That is the time when man's intelligence, his greatest implement, is being formed.
