Hudson Montessori School, a toddler through 8th grade school, was founded in Hudson, Ohio in 1962. It is the 13th oldest Montessori school in the nation. It is accredited by ISACS (Independent Schools Association of the Central States) and OAIS (Ohio Association of Independent Schools) and one of only 21 schools in the nation to have been recognized as an All Kinds of Minds School of Distinction.

Campus Location: 12 acres just north of the City of Hudson, Ohio. Hudson is located south of Cleveland and north of Akron, Ohio.
Student Body: 245 students from over 20 surrounding communities including Hudson, Twinsburg, Akron, Aurora, Macedonia, Kent and other Summit, Cuyahoga, and Portage County communities.
Faculty: Our faculty have an average of 12 years of teaching experience and most have advanced degrees, including the faculty of our Children's House (pre-school equivalent) program. All of our classrooms have a certified Montessori teacher with either A.M.I. (Association Montessori Internationale), or A.M.S. (American Montessori Society) certification. At HMS, we believe that Professional Development is a cornerstone of excellence in education, and all faculty and staff regularly participate in ongoing professional education.
Instructional ratio: In the Montessori classroom, the instructional ratio is typically 1:1 up to 1:4 in the classrooms with young children and 1:1 up to 1:12 in the classrooms with older children, the Montessori teacher is trained to teach one child at a time, and to oversee a classroom of children working on a broad array of tasks.
