The Grandparent/Grandfriend Program
This unique program offers our students' grandparents and grandfriends the opportunities to share their time, knowledge and love to enhance the educational experience of our students.

Studies have shown that children do better in life if a grandparent or a grandfriend plays a part in their upbringing. Grandparents/grandfriends help to educate, advise and encourage. They provide a link between a family's cultural heritage and present day customs. It is in recognizing these benefits that we developed this exciting program which offers volunteer opportunities for those who live locally and, thanks to Skype software, out-of-town.

Volunteer/Program Opportunities:

• Gardens

• School fundraising events
• Share an interest or talent
• Share an experience
• Letter Writing
• Reading with children
  

Events for the 2012-2013 school year:

• Grandparent/Grandfriend Day - April 17th or May 10th
