HMS is excited to announce that Paige Krabill has agreed to become president of Family Connection, the HMS parent and family organization for the 2012-2013 school year. In addition to being a wife, mom, a strong supporter of the Montessori method and HMS, she is a trained psychologist and educator specializing in children and families. She brings to the position an excitement about HMS and a passion to strengthen the HMS community to support the school at all levels. Her main goals for the 2012-2013 school year will be to support the HMS educational environment by connecting school, classroom, families and community. Continuing the great work completed by past president Lauren King, Paige is excited to build on the existing Family Connection foundation and work cooperatively with HMS parents, the school administration, faculty, staff and the board to positively enhance the HMS educational experience.
There are many great things planned for the upcoming school year focusing on connecting school, classroom, families and community. Opportunities exist big or small to get involved! HMS Family Connection
Our parent group is an integral part of the HMS experience. As a Hudson Montessori parent or guardian, you are all members of the HMS Family Connection.
The goals of HMS Family Connection are to:
- Enhance the sense of community among H.M.S. students, families, parents and staff by: providing opportunities for fun social gatherings and implementing a mentoring program for new families and for those entering a new classroom level in the school.
- Support the Hudson Montessori School experience for students, our families and staff by: planning cultural and educational programs in conjunction with the classroom teacher/school; assisting in both the operations of and initiating of new fundraising programs to supplement H.M.S. operational costs.
- Facilitate communication between and home and school.
