Parental Involvement
Parental teamwork, innovations and commitment impact
H.M.S.'s operational, educational and communal successes. The
volunteer efforts and enthusiasm of parents allow us to maximize
our school's fullest potential.
The goals of "H.M.S. Family Connection"
are to:
- Enhance the sense of community among H.M.S. students,
families, parents and staff by: providing opportunities for
fun social gatherings and implementing a mentoring program for
new families and for those entering a new classroom level in
the school.
- Support the Hudson Montessori School experience
for students, our families and staff by: planning cultural and
educational programs in conjunction with the classroom teacher/school;
assisting in both the operations of and initiating of new fundraising
programs to supplement H.M.S. operational costs.
- Facilitate communication between home and school
by: sharing "Family Connection" updates via the school's
newsletter ad the bulletin board posted by the north school
entrance; publishing a school year organizational roster; regularly
requesting input from staff.
