Julia Brown Head of School Years of Experience: 28 Years At HMS: 18 Julia holds a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, and a B.A. in Psychology and Fine Arts from York University in Toronto, Canada. Prior to pursuing her career in education, Julia worked in the administration of a university in Toronto, Canada as well as in advertising. She received her Association Montessori Internationale (A.M.I.) Montessori certification in Elementary Education at the Washington Montessori Institute in Washington, D.C. and has taught elementary classes at both the 6-9 and 9-12 level in Milwaukee and Toronto. Her classroom experience was followed by seven years as an Elementary Teacher-Trainer at the Toronto Montessori Institute and she was a participant in the Stanford University Leadership training program for Principals and Heads of School. She has presented at workshops relating to Montessori and education in both Canada and the United States and came to Ohio in 1997 to assume the position of Head of School at Hudson Montessori School.
